Please follow the below steps if your 3rd gen device is connected via ethernet but is currently offline

  1. Put the Screach TV channel on the TV screen
  2. Remove the ethernet cable and replace after 10 seconds
  3. Reboot the box by removing the power cable for 10 seconds (when powered back on the LED screen should come on)
  4. There will be a reboot screen which has 'Hello I'm SCRxxxxx', there will be 3 loading circles. If they all go green you're connected to the internet and no further action needed.
  5. If they go red you will need to plug a USB mouse in to the side of the box and check the internet settings
  6. Once the mouse is plugged in, right click anywhere on screen it will show a menu down the left hand side of the screen
  7. Click on the 'home' icon
  8. This will take you back to the reboot screen and there will be a cog in the bottom right corner
  9. Click on the cog
  10. Go to 'device' settings
  11. Select 'ethernet' from the menu on the left hand side
  12. On the right hand side you will see 'IP Address' - if this is all zeroes it means your router is not allowing the Screach device access to the internet. Take a note of the MAC address and contact your internet provider to request the MAC address be allowed internet access.
  13. If the IP address has numbers in it - check the ethernet cable is working properly by connecting to your laptop to see if it allow internet access
  14. If your laptop can get internet through the cable - replace in to the device and right click anywhere on screen to exit the menu. (If you cannot get internet on the laptop this would suggest the cable is faulty and a new one is required)
  15. Select 'Go back to Screach TV' if the loading circles still turn red call 0345 11 33 888 or email support@screach.com
  16. If they go green you're reconnected to the internet
