Please follow the below troubleshooting steps if your 2nd gen device is connected via wifi and is currently offline.

 

  1. Put the Screach TV channel on the TV screen
  2. Reboot the box by removing the power cable for 10 seconds (when powered back on the power light should turn blue)
  3. There will be a reboot screen which has 'Hello I'm SCRxxxxx', there will be 3 loading circles. If they all go green you're connected to the internet and no further action needed.
  4. If they go red you will need to plug a USB mouse in to the side of the box and check the internet settings
  5. Once the mouse is plugged in, right click anywhere on screen it will take you back to the 'Hello I'm SCRxxxxx' page where a cog will be in the bottom right corner
  6. Click on the cog
  7. Go to 'device' or 'network' settings (which one appears will depend on the version of software your box has)
  8. Go to the wifi section on the left, Check the wifi is turned on and connected to correct network.
  9. If not connected to a network select the network you would like to connect to and enter the password using the on screen keyboard which will appear. (the wifi must not have a landing page asking for credentials/facebook info to gain access to the network)
  10. Once happy with the settings, and the network says 'connected', right click again anywhere on screen to exit. You might have to so it twice, until it goes back to loading screen.
